Amacks Well is the best place to grab a coffee, or even just sit and chat in Batesville, Indiana. If you are looking for something to do for an hour or two, we recommend grabbing a drink at Amacks Well and exploring a bit. While Batesville isn't very big, you might enjoy seeing the unique German architecture of the downtown area.
Cincinnati chili is… controversial. (We’re fans.) Try it at Skyline — veggie friends, get the Black Beans & Rice chili.
Oldenburg is an area that is "near and dear" to Colleen's heart. As a child, she spent a lot of time in Oldenburg and went on to go to high school in this little village. Colleen was always told that German immigrants settled in Oldenburg because it "looked and felt like home." While there is not a lot to do in Oldenburg, you may enjoy the drive into the hills, seeing the beautiful church steeples, and exploring the few shops there. Be sure to stop in "The Village Store" and pick up some candy - it's the best.
Batesville, Indiana, is super close to Cincinnati, Ohio! We highly recommend driving down if you are in town for an extra day or two. Some of our favorite activities include: Jungle Jims International Market, Smale Park, a Cincinnati Reds Baseball Game, and the Cincinnati Zoo.
Big Four Cafe is a great place for breakfast, lunch, dinner! They do have some vegetarian options (not a lot, but some).
