Hotel
We don't have a block reserved here, but this is a moderately priced option, with rooms at about $220/night, in Downtown Brooklyn. This area has a lot of shopping and restaurants, and has more of a Manhattan feel than other parts of Brooklyn, with some taller buildings. There are several subway lines close by that make travel to Manhattan easy, but there is not a direct line to the venue (one would have to transfer a couple of times). A car ride to the venue is about 20-25 minutes.
Hotel
We don't have a block reserved here, but prices range from about $195-$220. This hotel is very minimal, and reviews are a bit mixed, but it is close to the venue (a direct subway ride, and about a 10 minute care ride), and fairly reasonably priced.
Travel Note
For those who are driving, the wedding venue should have plenty of free street parking nearby. Parking is more limited near the hotels and Lady Sangeet, since all are in Manhattan. The Intercontinental New York Barclay has valet parking, and several parking garages nearby, with the closest the SP+ Parking (301 Park Ave, New York, NY 10022). It costs $25 for 12 hours. For the Lady Sangeet/Rehearsal Dinner, the closest parking is NYC Parking 45th Street Parking Corp. (246 E 45th St, New York, NY 10017), which is $29 for 12 hours. For any other parking recommendations or logistical questions, email Angela at angelarg6@gmail.com.
