A Lockdown Love Story We “officially” met on June 26, 2020, but our paths had crossed a few times before that without us even realizing it. From quick run-ins at The Captain’s Table to a brief moment on Greenwood Lake just a month earlier, it feels like we were always meant to find our way to each other. That day, Megan had just gotten back from an upstate trip with her best friend. With not much to do on a lockdown Friday night, she made last-minute dinner plans at Emerald Point with a friend. What she didn’t know was that her friend added two more people to the reservation—one of them being Michael. We like to say Michael crashed Megan’s dinner. After dinner, we ended the night around a bonfire, talking for hours and completely losing track of time. When it was time to leave, we went our separate ways—and didn’t think much of it (especially since Michael ignored Megan’s goodbye!). But the next morning, Megan woke up to a message request from him… and that’s really where everything started. We clicked right away. A week later, Michael invited Megan on vacation with his friends, and from that point on, we were basically inseparable. Michael asked Megan to be his girlfriend on July 25, 2020—although, if you ask Megan, she’ll tell you she definitely asked him first while he was planning to make it official. Michael proposed on December 14, 2023. When it came time to pick a wedding date, it was an easy decision. June 26 will always be more than just a date to us—it’s the night that turned into a lifetime. We can’t wait to celebrate that moment, and our forever, with all of you.
