How We Met

Our journey began in Bengaluru in early 2020. It took only one date for us to realize we had found something rare. However, just as we were getting started, the world hit the pause button. We found ourselves in the ultimate irony: navigating the challenges of a long-distance relationship while living in the very same city. As the world reopened, our horizons expanded - literally. Rohan moved to the United States to pursue his Master’s, eventually settling in the soaring skyline of Manhattan, while Nikita moved to the UK, calling both London and Glasgow home. What followed was a six-year masterclass in the art of the long-distance relationship, defined by constant time-zone math, endless FaceTime calls, and a growing collection of transatlantic boarding passes. Distance couldn't keep us apart; it simply gave us more of the world to explore together. Our story has played out across the globe: from the bustling streets of Mumbai and Delhi and the historic charm of Edinburgh, to the coastal sunshine of San Diego and LA, the vibrant streets of London, and the iconic skylines of Manhattan. Each airport reunion served as a reminder that no matter how many thousands of miles lay between us, we were always moving in the same direction. Through every time zone change and countless red-eye flights, our commitment never wavered. Now, after years of counting down the days until our next goodbye, we are finally ready to close the distance for good. We cannot wait to start our greatest adventure yet—under the same roof, in the same time zone, and surrounded by the people who have supported us through our journey!
