We met during our junior year at Dunlap High School, and after graduating in May 2006, life took us on different journeys. Fast forward to February 2011 when Brittany was living in San Diego, and Charlie was three months into his move to Los Angeles. We met up as old friends and as the story goes, Charlie couldn't wait to see her again. After hanging out another time or two, Brittany felt a connection as well. In March 2011, we met halfway for our first date in Laguna Beach. After eight weekends in a row of traveling back and forth to visit Charlie, Brittany moved to LA. We dated for nearly seven months before Charlie officially asked Brittany to be his girlfriend at an OAR concert in San Diego. Two months later, we decided to move in to our first place together. The next six years were filled with many concerts, adventures, vacations, campouts, bottles of wine, beers, gourmet meals, tons of fun, love, and happiness. In December 2017, our scheduled horse drawn carriage through downtown Chicago was canceled because it was too cold. Charlie had to convince Brittany to go for a walk in the freezing weather. She reluctantly agreed and that's when Charlie got down on one knee in front of the Chicago Water Tower and said, "So what do you think about being my wife? Do you want to spend forever together?", and Brittany replied "Is this really happening right now?"
