The first glances between Brandon and Lauren happened to be on their first day as interns at Chevron. Brandon will always claim he knew from that moment that he knew he wanted to marry Lauren. They struck up conversations, and proceeded to become good friends as the summer went. After starting full time at Chevron, Lauren and Brandon reconnected through a group of mutual friends. From sky-diving, floating the river, traveling to Brazil, and a couple pool parties at the Suzie’s this group became very close. Which “date” was really the first date is a bit of mystery. Lauren asked Brandon to dinner on a double date on 12/3, Brandon asked Lauren to yoga on 12/5 and Lauren always went to one of her favorite restaurants and so asked Brandon to dinner following yoga. Finally on 12/7, Brandon asked Lauren to the kind of dinner you can’t go to in your sweaty yoga get up. One (really all) of these dates is what kicked off their happy relationship and prompted Brandon to propose 11 months later. When the opportunity came up for the parents to meet for the first time in Gulf Shores, Alabama in October, Brandon knew that would be the perfect moment to propose. He secretively planned a romantic sunset sailboat cruise and proposed to Lauren, and she happily said yes, and the wedding planning began! After years of friendship, Lauren and Brandon are excited to celebrate their wedding with friends and family!
