A Pandemic Love Story

Facebook. Seriously!!

Neither of us has a large social media presence. Its just something to do when we're bored. I'm so glad we were bored during the shutdown faze of the Covid 19 pandemic. Our first contact was of course by text. I didn't think much of it. It was Facebook after all. After texting back and forth for a while we exchanged phone numbers. He said he would call the next day. He did not call and it slipped my mind until he did call a couple days later. The first phone conversation was brief but when he told me who he was I said " you're late". We laughed and he gave a reason for not calling when he said he would. It was a pleasant but short conversation. When he called again we talked and laughed for hours. It was different than anything I had ever experienced. A really great conversation with a stranger on the phone. Over the next few weeks we talked almost daily about everything. It was comfortable and entertaining. We found that we had the same core values and shared the same weird sense of humor. I was excited to meet him but how? We were shutdown for the pandemic. We had to be creative with almost nothing open but once we met we knew we wanted to see each other again and again. One of our best dates was at Dilworth Park at city hall. I felt like a teenager walking around center city and holding hands because we had to stay outdoors. What a time. Cold weather came and we had to go in. We know better than anybody how to have an in house date LOL. We took turns cooking for each other and TV streaming was one of our biggest activities. It allowed us to really get to know each other. We didn't have any distractions. So breaking the rules and dating during the pandemic started our journey. I love everywhere we've been and I can't wait to go everywhere we're going. This journey has been interesting but very easy for us. I'm so glad we get to share it together ❤️
