For most of you, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport will be the best option. Paine Field is a small airport north of Seattle in Everett, but it has some direct flights from select west coast airports.
You are welcome to book your lodging at Hotel Theodore or at one of the many hotels in downtown Seattle. It's obviously your decision, but remember that parking in downtown Seattle can be quite expensive. Unless you plan on exploring the surrounding areas for several days (which we do recommend) or staying outside of the city, we recommend you rely on ride share apps, the Light Rail, and electric scooters or bicycles. Also, note that Seattle is quite hilly so be prepared for hills if you go on long walks. For the day of the celebration, you won't have any problems finding ride share options to use to/from your hotel.
Valet parking is available at a discounted rate of $39/night at the Hotel Theodore. NOTE: When you check in, please inform them that you are part of our wedding to receive the discounted rate. There are many other options, including Pacific Place which is across the street from the Hotel Theodore and close to other hotel chains you may stay in.
We suggest that men wear a suit or sportcoat in any color and for women, a cocktail dress or dressy separates.
There will be a formal dinner, but not formal seating. We will have plenty of excellent food and drinks for your enjoyment. As well, there is ample seating throughout the penthouse and on the balconies.
We chose to have the celebration in September because it is a magical weather month. Highs in the 70's, lows in the low 50s - hopefully sunny and beautiful. But there's always a chance for rain so be prepared with a light rain coat.
While we would love to have little ones join us, we are keeping this an intimate wedding with adults only, along with a few young adults.
We will move the ceremony indoors to the Hotel Theodore at the same time, 4:30 pm on Saturday. We will let everyone know of that decision by 12:00 pm on Saturday via a group text.
Ride share options Uber or Lyft are an excellent choice if you don't have your own car. The Link Light Rail will also get you in and out of downtown.
The ceremony will begin at 4:30 pm so we recommend you plan to arrive between 4:00-4:15 pm.
There will be no restrooms at the ceremony location, but restrooms are available down the street at the primary Magnolia Park location at 1461 Magnolia Blvd W.
All of our guests are spending time, energy and money to attend our wedding. We are staying at the Theodore Hotel starting on Friday afternoon and checking out on Monday morning. We kindly ask that no one comes to the Roosevelt Room prior to the cocktail hour. After that, the space is open for guests to visit. This is our hotel suite for the weekend and we will gladly meet you in other areas of the hotel.
