In May 2021, MaryKate traveled to Connecticut for a weekend visit with a friend. That weekend, she met Roger and joined him and his friends in celebrating his 27th birthday. The days were filled with laughter, good food, and unforgettable fun. A few weeks later, MaryKate and Roger met up for lunch at Brewport Pizza in Bridgeport, CT. That weekend, they traveled to Vermont with another couple, where they stayed up talking late into the night—sharing stories, dreams, and everything in between. It quickly became clear they shared a strong connection. Since Roger lived in Connecticut and MaryKate in Pennsylvania, they made the most of their weekends—taking turns visiting each other and staying in hotels to spend time together. On July 22, 2021, Roger officially asked MaryKate to be his girlfriend, surprising her with a beautiful Michael Kors purse to mark the moment. From there, their adventures took off. They traveled together, tried new things, and built a rhythm that felt natural and fun. In April 2022, MaryKate moved out of her childhood home and into a new apartment in Levittown. She invited Roger to stay with her part-time if he wanted—and he did. Roger took a leap of faith and moved in with MaryKate and her cat, Mickey. And from that moment on, the rest was history.
