How did Lena know Roger really liked her? He wrote "I <3 Lena" on Ms. Tassnot's white board because he had science class right before her. The date was September 5th, 2007 and Roger & Lena were watching a high school football game. He turned to her and asked "will you be my girlfriend?" She couldn’t believe it so she made him repeat it a handful of times before saying yes, lol. After 2 years, Lena thought they should enjoy college life (although they still saw each other throughout those 4 years.) Jackie, Roger’s oldest sister, and Lena we’re still besties and he would get so mad that she would still come over for Christmases!! On Roger’s birthday in 2013 she sent him a “Happy Birthday” text and the rest was history… they just knew it was meant to be. In 2013, they got Kobe the Boxer and decided to move to Las Vegas, Nevada for a job opportunity for Lena. 3 years later, it was Roger’s job opportunity that brought them to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2016! They got their pup, Vinny the Frenchie in 2017 and bought their first house in Huntersville in May 2018. (Let’s go ahead and just skip over the COVID era - weird times.) Engagement was the next step, which Roger asked at a family BBQ on Memorial Day weekend in front of everyone in 2021! Now, they’re at the next chapter and super excited to profess their vows to each other on April 20th, 2024. Fun fact, the date 4/20/24 is a palindrome (the same forwards and backwards) and represents an infinity sign! After many journeys together, they are so happy that their family and friends will all be on the East Coast to celebrate their long time love.
