In 2000, we met each other on an IRC chat room called #sinfest. We met a lot of our friends there as well, including the officiant for our wedding, Joe. Back in the day, when you weren't supposed to meet crazy people from the internet, we all decided to start meeting up, so we could hang out with each other in real life. In 2001, we both figured out that we were in the Chicagoland area for the summer, so we met up for drinks, realized we liked each other, and that started a summer of hanging out and 5 years of long distance traveling and seeing each other when we could. Lots and lots of hours in cars, let me tell you. In 2006, we lost touch, and for the next ten years, every time we tried to catch up with each other, we were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Separate vacation destinations at the same time, happening to be out of town when the other was headed through... we kept an eye on each other through Facebook, but couldn't make timing work to catch up. In 2016, some of our friends from #sinfest decided to get the group back together over Facebook messenger. As soon as we both joined the chat, we started a private chat, and started to catch up. We started traveling to see each other, 12+ hours either way, every few weeks to months. After a year and a half, Crystal moved to New Mexico, and then a few months later, moved in with Bill. We've been living together ever since, became guardians for a couple of kids, fostered animals, and have slowly accumulated 3 bunnies (Bryzzo, Mocha, and Mousse,) 2 guinea pigs (Nutmeg and Sugar,) and 3 cats (Gypsy, Sophie, and Max.) We're very excited to see you and celebrate with everyone. We've missed seeing our friends and family, and can't wait to see all of you!
