It all started with a simple “Hey, how are ya?” on Bumble on Monday, March 29, 2021. That small message turned into a conversation about our lives, our jobs, and our shared interests. I (Ashley) was on spring break from teaching, and Michael, always one for spontaneity, suggested meeting up for drinks. We met that night at Acapulco in Raritan and spent hours talking and laughing, realizing that this was something special. From that moment on, our story began.

On June 8, 2023, Michael proposed to Ashley at Colonial Park with the help of their beloved dog, Bella. Michael had thoughtfully found a way to incorporate Bella into the proposal by attaching a special collar decorated with "bride" and "groom." Unaware of the surprise, Ashley watched as Bella ran over to her wearing the new collar. As she tried to read what it said, she suddenly caught a glimpse of Michael dropping to one knee out of the corner of her eye. In that moment, everything clicked—her heart raced, her hands let go of everything she was holding, and she stood in pure shock. Then, without hesitation, she happily said yes!
