From the first time Rodrigo heard Mariana's laugh he felt a sense of calm and connection that he knew he wanted more of. They had matched online, and decided to chat on the phone before meeting. Both felt they had met a kindred spirit. They met for a coffee and the connection was still there. Mariana was hooked when Rodrigo said he had no qualms throwing away a bad coffee to get a new one. They walked along the lakeshore with their coffees and then Rodrigo walked Mariana home. They hugged, it felt good. Soon they were inseparable, they traveled together for the first time to see the full solar eclipse, they flew to Vegas for a wedding, then Madeira, Switzerland, then Japan. They met each other's family and all the pieces gradually clicked into place. Seeing the joy that Mariana's family exuded, Rodrigo felt he understood her better. The singing, music, and movie nights felt natural and familiar to Mariana, and she could feel her heart getting filled. Their similar values meant that it was easy to see what a life together would look like. Mariana moved in. They found that they looked forward to seeing each other each evening, were sad to say goodbye in the mornings. The routines settled into place. They supported each other and valued each other's quirks and hobbies. This was fun! They decided to take a big trip. Rodrigo had always wanted to see Montana, so they visited Glacier National Park. On their first few hikes, packing bear and bug spray, Rodrigo carried the little box to the top of several peaks, looking for the right spot. Then, on an unassuming stop for lunch, the view of St. Mary's Lake was perfect and the crowds vanished for just long enough for him to get on one knee and pop the question. She said yes! We would be delighted if you would be a part of our story on November 21st!
