October is the busiest time of year at Big Cedar so if you are planning to stay a night or two you may want to book a room as soon as possible.
Big Cedar Lodge itself is probably booked up, but there are plenty of hotels nearby or in Branson that will have vacancies. Or you can probably find a VRBO or AirBnB property that is close.
