We're getting married!

Rodney smiled at me, then I smiled back at him. Two and a half months later we finally met in person. Our relationship began on Christian Mingle with several long and sporadic emails, which led to some quite funny and insightful instant messages, then eventually a couple phone calls - before our first date at Panera Bread on October 12, 2013. Three months later we were ready to make our relationship official!

Rodney and I went to one of our favorite places - Gatlinburg, TN. Rodney - you tell the rest... I wanted it to be a surprise and it almost did not happen because Ann was not planning on taking any vacation time. I contacted her parents asking them to tell her that they were planning a trip and wanted her to come and see Gatlinburg, TN as the fall was approaching. Gatlingburg, TN is a favorite place and one of the first extended trips we took during December 2014 to see the Christmas parade. While there, we had taken a photo in front of the Smokey Mountain State Park sign and one of my favorite photos. In front of the sign is where I proposed with two costume jewelry engagement rings because I did not know her size and wanted it to be a surprise. Afterwards, we went to Roaring Fork park for a hike and took some wonderful pictures.
