Rodger and I met on the Facebook dating app. We started talking through the app and then decided to exchange numbers. After some time of talking on the phone we decided to meet. We met in Hagerstown at Longhorn. We spent several hours there talking and had an instant connection. For the first year and half Rodger and I would go back and forth to each others house for the weekend. After a while we decided on Rodger moving in with me. We both decided pretty quickly that we wanted to be together forever. We talked about getting married for a while. Rodger proposed on August 31, 2024, although I knew that it was coming I was completely shocked when he proposed. We had just gotten back from dinner with my family celebrating my birthday. I was opening up some gifts and he handed me a jewelry box, I was so excited. I opened the box and it was a chain for my cross. I was like awesome, I have a new chain so now I can wear my cross. I didn't think anything more about it. He asked my daughter to cut the dogs claws and goes in the drawer that we kept the clippers in and turns around and gets down on one knee and proposes. We are so excited to get married and start our future together.
