Castle Hill is an ancient monument dating back to the Bronze Age on the outskirts of Huddersfield. It offers spectacular views across the area.
For those who fancy an Autumn walk Yorkshire has some beautiful countryside to explore. On the outskirts of Huddersfield is Marsden Moor, a National Trust site with over 5000 acres of Moorland to explore.
The Bronte sisters lived in the nearby village of Haworth and the town and surrounding countryside inspired a lot of their stories. Their home has now been turned into a museum. The Keighley and Worth Valley Heritage Railway also runs through the village, offering steam train rides on restored Victorian trains.
Dating from 1779, this building and courtyard was originally used to trade pieces of cloth. In recent years it has been restored to make it into a cultural and commercial centre with a variety of independent shops, cafes, bars, exhibition spaces and live music events on offer.
The UK has a thriving theatre scene with many shows touring to local theatres from the West End. Our nearest large theatre is Bradford Alhambra (see address above), but you'll don't forget to check out what's on in Leeds Manchester or Sheffield as well.
