Tale as old as time, well at least for this generation... they met online! Like many things in their relationship, Bridget messaged first. After messaging for weeks Bridget and Andrew decided to meet up and had their first date at the Newburgh Brewing Company. So like any good story theirs began over beers. They stayed at Newburgh for awhile until Andrew asked one of the most important questions on a first date, "how do you feel about desert?" That is when they moved onto their next location to share a smores bomb desert and continue getting to know each other. Bridget joked that everyone should have known she was the one because Andrew stayed UP and OUT until 10:30 pm, and anyone knows him that is 2 hours past his bedtime. Bridget joked with her best friends after the date how she just had her first date with her future husband, who would have known she was right!
It all began with a simple hike with both Bridget and Andrew's parent, or so she thought. They were all going to get together and go on a hike to Minnewaska State Park. Bridget admits Andrew was acting kind of funny that day, pacing back and forth, constantly looking at the time, and one point just shouted WHAT?!? when Andrew thought Bridget was looking at the box shaped outline in his pocket. So they went on their hike, even their beloved dog Bama came along to see the big moment! They got to the edge of the trail that overlooks the entire Shawangunk Valley. Andrew was urging Bridget to come up on this rock to the overlook. Andrew turned to Bridget and told her everything she dreamed her future husband would and got down on one knee and asked, "Bridget Christina Kane, will you marry me?" "YES YES YES" is all they heard. Followed by cheers, tears, hugs, and kisses. The Kane's came prepared with a bottle of champagne that was quickly popped, and a toast to the future Mr and Mrs. JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT WE WERE DONE WITH THIS STORY... Andrew then suggested grabbing a drink at one of Bridget's favorite places, Brown Barn to celebrate. The Ferrigan's and Kane's made their way to Brown Barn to celebrate, when Bridget opened the door they were greeted by all their family and friends cheering! They spent the next hours celebrating with all their love ones. Not to mention the place was decorated to perfection thanks to Bridal Party and family. The yes day, was the best day.
