Lindsay's version: Rocky heard I was moving to Park City from a mutual friend of ours. She showed him my facebook and next thing I know I have a friend request and message asking me if I wanted to go out to dinner the next night. When I got the message I was shocked and sent photos of him to my mom right away. I thought he was a total hunk. Rocky picked me up at my condo in Deer Valley the next night. He opened the car door for me and was such a gentlemen. The next day he left me a gift at my doorstep while I was at work. We went out skiing the following week. I was impressed to say the least. We started spending a lot more time together, and I quickly found myself falling in love. Rocky's version: I was hanging out with a friend I had known for a long time from Park City and we were talking about how I wanted to meet a nice lady. She mentioned that she knew a girl named Lindsay from college that was potentially moving to Park City. I asked her to show me some photos and I immediately knew I had to meet her. Her smile was infectious and she looked so out going, happy, and positive. I sent her a message telling her how I was from Park City and would love to meet her and take her out to dinner. I was SO nervous after meeting her and seeing how she was even more gorgeous in person. After dinner I knew she was special and I had to get to know her more. In all honesty, I wasn’t sure she liked me all that much so the next day, I went and got her a special present with incense and an incense holder and a couple of gems and left them at her door step as a little surprise. After the first couple dates we had I knew I wanted to spend my life with her. Everyday I know I am the luckiest man ever to have her by my side.
Lindsays version: We had been on the lake all day at my cabin in northern Wisconsin. When we docked the boat it started drizzling. Rock told me he really wanted to take some photos of me at the end of the dock. I didn't understand why he wanted to take photos so bad since it was drizzling and we had the rest of the weekend to get good shots, but I agreed too. He set up his tripod and put his camera on a timer. We took a couple pictures together, and next thing I know he is on one knee with a stunning ring in his hand. I was so surprised! My jaw dropped and I looked up at the house to see all my family watching down on us. It took me a minute to say YES! An eagle flew above us and we popped champagne and had the best night celebrating. Rocky's version: I woke up the morning of July 1st and knew that I was going to ask Lindsay that day to marry me and celebrate with fireworks on the lake at the end of the night. We went out on the boat all day and had such a beautiful morning. I had a plan in my head to take some photos of just her and I at the end of the dock when we got back as a cover up story, but when we got back the clouds came and it started to sprinkle. I was getting upset because I was ready for the moment, Lindsay however, wasn’t really into taking photos and wanted to wait. I convinced her to take just a couple and told her to look out towards the lake. I remember looking up and seeing all of Lindsay’s family on the patio looking down anxiously waiting since they knew what was coming. I was so nervous and remember seeing Steve give me a nod and a thumbs up. That helped me gain the confidence to do it. I was so nervous I blacked out and dropped down to a knee… I asked Lindsay if she would make me the happiest man on the planet and be my wife, after complete shock she finally said yes. I looked down at the ring box to put the ring on her finger and realized the box was upside down and luckily the ring didn’t drop into the lake!
