2 Kinds of Crazy

After years of knowing of each other but never speaking, on March 12th, 2015, after a recommendation from a friend, Alero reached out to DeJuan through Facebook about having her dream closet built. He showed up, clip board and tape measure in hand, and got straight to business. That evening they stayed up late talking and realized just how much they had in common and how desperately he needed her Barrett Butter for his ashy ankles. Their love and understanding of each other’s quirks have bred many nicknames such as Squirrel, because of Alero's lack of an attention span, which he does his best to keep on track. DeJuan, is Laminated! Everything he does is done with the ultimate precision and she's pretty sure his brain has color coded laminated tabs in each wrinkle. After three and a half years of finishing each other’s sentences and laughing until their stomachs hurt, DeJuan popped the question, to totally shocked and bumpy Alero, on the Carnival cruise ship on October 24th, 2018. During a layover in Orlando, FL, before the cruise disembarked, Dejuan left his phone in a cab and after a hours of hunting it down and a crazy NY cab driver who drove in circles. We ended up at the cabbie’s house making him unlock his car in his boxers early in the morning. Then Alero had an allergic reaction and ended up in medical aboard the boat with her first IV, fearing quarantine. After much luck, great friends & and a stolen aloe leaf, Alero felt presentable enough to go to the captain’s dinner on the last day of the cruise. Juan excused himself as she ate her 3rd beet salad and then she heard the captain say “Mr. DeJuan Bell has something he’d like to ask his longtime girlfriend”. That quickly turned their drama filled trip into the best vacation of their lives. Alero may not have a shoe closet yet, but instead she’s found her perfect mate in DeJuan.
