Welcome to our Forever!

It is quite a small world when it comes to how Allan and I met. Allan’s mom just so happened to be Lindsay’s Kindergarten teacher at Concord Elementary. Also, Allan has known Lindsay’s dad from his time of owning The Camera Shop in downtown Paducah; however, he never mentioned his beautiful daughter haha. So when Lindsay started working at the American Quilter Society a friendship quickly developed. It took some time for our friendship to grow into more, but once it did it didn’t take long for them both to realize this was the real deal. Quarantine definitely allowed their relationship to grow quicker than most, but they wouldn’t change anything and they have been inseparable ever since.

As previously mentioned, Allan and Lindsay started off with a friendship thanks to AQS. All it took to change that friendship to a love interest was a little Fireball and RumChata haha. Lindsay tried really hard at first to convince herself, and others, that her and Allan were just friends. However, all it took was a night with his sweet family for her to know she was in it for the long haul. Allan's family opened their home and hearts to Lindsay over Domino's and the rest is history.

Allan & Lindsay both knew they wanted to spend their life together so the question was how would he pop the question. Lindsay’s family had a scheduled photo session with Jeremy, Allan’s best friend, and so Allan and Jeremy concocted a plan to wait until the end of the family photos and Allan would get down on one knee and ask Lindsay the question she had been waiting to hear. Lindsay’s mom, step dad, and sister were there to see the whole thing and were just as shocked as Lindsay when Allan got down on one knee. It will always be their favorite memory of 2020!
