It was a Thursday, December 19, 2024 when Jackie went to a childhood friend’s wedding. Her friend Elli had told Jackie she was sitting her at a table with her groom’s “fun, funny, and nerdy friends from college”. Jackie knew this kind of set-up sometimes happens to single people at weddings, and usually doesn’t work out, but she went in open minded. Hey, you never know! At the wedding, a handsome man approached the table and sat to Jackie’s right in the middle of 3 empty seats. His name was Rob. The one seat gap between Jackie and Rob still allowed for conversation to start between the two, so when a couple showed up to the table desiring 2 seats together, Rob had a critical choice. Would he move one seat to his right, away from Jackie…or one seat to his left, closer to Jackie? He chose to shift left, and with that action, Jackie felt like maybe it wasn’t just her who was feeling a spark... Seated next to each other the night progressed and about halfway through, before it was even over, Rob asked Jackie if she’d want to go on a date with him. She didn’t let him finishing asking before responding “I’d love to”. Exchanging numbers, Jackie saved him in her phone as “Rob from the Wedding”. Later that evening when Jackie saw Elli she joked “it worked! I got asked out!” “Rob?” Elli nodded knowingly, as if she already knew that would happen. “He’s a really good guy!” Turns out Elli was right, and “Rob from the Wedding” is now going to be Rob from a different wedding.
