Taryn and Rocio met in 2008 in Georgia. Both had signed up for the World Race Missions trip. Neither knowing a single person, gravitated towards one another after a chit chat in the food line. The one year of traveling to 17+ countries with a backpack was a bond they laugh and say was a 10 year friendship created in one year. In many ways it reminds Rocio of the unconditional love she receives from God. Taryn having seen Rocio at her worst & most vulnerable moments in life has continued to be a steadfast friend no matter the disagreement or difference in views. Taryn has been a sister Rocio never had. Taryn's love for Jesus, empathy for others, strive to be the best version God created her to be, are a few things Rocio is incredibly thankful to have been given with T as her best friend!

Antonio comes from a family of two sisters (Marisela and Jessica) and one brother, (Ciro Avila Jr.). While he has a great relationship with all his siblings, the relationship with his brother is unique. A relationship and bond that only they two share and understand.

Jessica and Rocio were connected via Rocio's maid of honor in 2014 through an email. The two shared a few phone calls regarding career advice & fashion- Jessica's specialty. Jessica moved to LA in 2016 - after a 10-minute photo shoot session in the bathroom in Santa Monica - Jessica and Rocio were inseparable in LA. A lifelong friendship was born - filled with road trips, laughs, dancing, prayer, long conversations about life, love, dreams, and all that the journey of life brings us. The two bond over many things but one main item is both taking the road less traveled.

Being the child of Antonio’s fathers brother, Alvaro and Antonio shared many childhood memories together. At family parties the two grew up together where they have maintained that relationship thru their adulthood.

Amelia and Rocio met at Charming Charlie in 2011. They became quick friends with their shared passion for loving Jesus. Amelia is an amazing friend & has been a steady, loving source of wisdom & transparency in her life within relationships & marriage. Amelia and Rocio both share from their heart & with openness on life and the everyday struggles that come. The best part being Amelia goes back to the faith they both share to guide and support one another in life. Amelia and her husband Matt have been a fun couple for Rocio & Antonio to plan weekend trips with & outings.

Growing up two blocks away from each other Amador was someone that Antonio grew up looking up to. Bring 3 years older, Amador carried Antonio under his wing wherever he went and whatever he did.

Kailani and Rocio met at a friend's birthday dinner in Pasadena, California in 2015. Kailani had been working for herself with owning a chic online home store. Having a love for aesthetics & home - the two had much to talk about and exchanged information that evening. Countless dinners later, authentic conversations on relationships, dating, LA life, good shopping & more ensued with their friendship. Coincidentally, Kailani is the one who helped Rocio set up the Eharmony profile & encouraged her to try online dating. Kailani & her husband Vin have been a couple both Rocio & Antonio have enjoyed spending time with as couples to do dinners & exploring with.

Daniel is Antonio's first nephew (the son Antonio's older sister Marisela). Antonio has seen Daniel grow up to the man he is today and shares a very special relationship with him.

Angela has been married to Daniel, Rocio's younger brother for 10 years. Having grown up with two brothers, Rocio was overjoyed to welcome a sister to the family. Being unable to foresee how the transition to Des Moines & during COVID would be, Rocio had one constant during this time - chill time with AJ (Angela), Daniel & Nico (Rocio's nephew & ring bearer). As many can relate to, with so much being shutdown during 2020, Rocio is eternally grateful to have been near to family she calls friends. Thank you, AJ, Daniel & Nico for wine, chocolate that never ran out, and Netflix series nights!!

Julie is married to Terrance, Rocio's older brother. Julie & Rocio have made great memories in LA, where they both lived at the same time. Both enjoy a good coffee, amazing decor, and chatting about the new beauty & fashion finds. Rocio is blessed to have acquired a sister and friend in Julie.

Antonio met Joshua in his senior year in high school. After graduating high school the two became close friends and have maintained a strong relationship to this date.

Sheree and Rocio met in 2006 at Grace University in Omaha. The two met in a class as Rocio sought out to find a study partner for an upcoming test. Sheree agreed and brought muffins & breakfast for them both to enjoy! Sheree and Rocio were each other's first roommates in Omaha. Both shared a love for summertime in the Midwest where they would figure out which pools were open to ensure they had their sun basking time. Their memories include going to college classes together, Sundays at church together, spending New Years together, taking small trips together, Bible studies, countless talks on faith & relationships, college world series games & of course eating yummy food. Sheree has the biggest heart and is always ready to help anyone in need that crosses her path.

Antonio met Marko in 2009 thru work when Marko was working for an investment bank in NY. Working on a large project together the two hit it off and have maintained a relationship to this date.

Jessica Avila is the youngest sibling in the Avila family. One of Rocio's favorite things about her is how full of life she is at any family gathering. Jessica being a full-time psychologist, Rocio has shared with her the passion for helping people become more present & healthy in life.
