We met at the Wisconsin Valley Fair in Wausau. We were both there working in the Expo building and just happened to have booths across the aisle from each other and from the moment we met, I was terribly annoyed by Peter. However by the end of the week he was kind of growing on me.
After many, many months of dating (but not dating) we finally decided to make it official.
We took the leap and moved in together. Then a few month later Peter took a big leap when he moved with my back to my hometown of New London. Then a few years later we came back to Wausau.
After five moves in less than 4 years, the idea of settling down and actually buying a house seemed a little like a dream. There were definitely some obstacles but together we managed and get the keys to our first real home.
It was a typical Friday night and after a very long day at work, Peter dragged me out to our favorite local bar. After a few beverages we started a round of darts and I was playing an incredible game of cricket. After another impressive round, I turned around to find Peter, down on one knee. At first I was terribly confused until I saw the ring that he was holding out for me.
