Farren D. Tucker

and

Rochelle Faust

We met on a warm but cool night at her mother's house 1981

A friend of mine knew Rochelle and her boyfriend Johnny and introduced me and my other friends to them in the year 1981, our freshmen year of high school.

Me and my friends just happened to be hanging out in the Ada Park area around Rochelle's house. My friend, the neighborhood nicknamed "Boonie Coon" knew Johnny & Rochelle and introduced us all to one another. I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her. All I could say was "Hey, how are you doing?" We proceeded to hang out with Johnny on his side of the neighborhood the rest of that night. As for myself and Rochelle, I only got to see her a few times as she went in and out of the house but never got to say anything to her. That's the same night Johnny talked me into fighting a guy nicknamed "Dummy G." Fastforward to 2010 at our close friend's house (Andrew Martin), where we all often party at whenever we're in town. I was sweating from dancing and decided to go outside for some cool air. I went back into the house a proceeded down the stairs only to look up and see a nice round backside and said WOW! Then she turned around and I said wow again. I knew the face but could not remember the name, so I asked my lil sister (Kasandra Tucker) who is that. She said, "You know who that is, that's Rochelle." I said Oh and it hit me like a light...that's the girl who used to date that guy who talked me into fighting Dummy G. Afterwards, we connected eyes, said HEEEYYYYY and then hugged. We immediately exchnaged numbers and took a picture (the picture on the button). From that time on we kept in touch but didn't get serious until around 2015. We both had just gotten over failed relationships. After those relationships resolved, we decided to get together and become a serious couple in 2016.

Engagement

May 10,2019

Rochelle said she wanted to walk across the stage with her engagement ring on. So, I thought, I'll propose to her at her graduation. So, I told her that my credit card had some problems and I would have to reorder her ring, which would take another 3 weeks to come to the house. At that time I already had the ring at home. On graduation day I approached the security guards before the graduation personnel got seated. I told one guard what I wanted to do (showed him the ring) and he told me that he could only allow me to come to the top of the stairs. I said ok, that's fine. Next, a different guard approached me in the stands and said they wanted to put our story in the local paper. He wrote down my name and number and left. Then, came the head security guard. He told me he heard about what I was doing and said he would try to help. He asked me if the school knew about the proposal and I said no. At that point I thought it would be a problem. He left and came back several minutes later. He asked me to point out Rochelle as they had the idea to hold her back. I said no because Rochelle is nosey and might figure it all out. So he left and came back minutes later. (At this point and time Rochelle is observing the security guards approaching me). The head security guard came back one last time. He told me that the university now knows about the proposal and wants it to be big...EPIC! It seems that I got more than what I asked for and everything is now perfect for what I wanted to do. After the closing remarks Rochelle was called back to the stage. As she walked up the steps I was walking to the stage. As I approached the stage, all eyes were on me, wondering what I was doing. To calm their curiosity, I pulled out the ring and show the crowd the ring.
