Welcome Braai at Bridesmaids Accommodation

This is a relaxed no strings bring and braai

SUPER IMPORTANT: Please bring your own drinking vessel (glass, cup, or bottle). I’ll provide paper plates and cutlery. If you’re arriving on Friday, we’d love to see you! Join us from 4 p.m. at the bridesmaids’ accommodation at Eagles Nest . Bring something to braai and your favourite drink. It’ll be relaxed and casual, just not too late a night…. we’re getting married the next day. 😉 We’ll prepare three salads — likely potato salad, pasta salad, and green salad — to complement your own meat.

Semi formal, but comfort is key, so avoid stilettos so that you can walk over the grass.

Please arrive at the venue by 4 PM. The ceremony will start at 5:30 PM, so this gives you plenty of time to say hi to Mark, grab a pre-ceremony drink, and catch up with other guests. Once you park, please walk to the right to reach the main entrance. Head down towards the large lawn for gathering. The venue is a beautiful outdoor space sheltered from the wind but do be prepared for the elements. The sun can be quite strong, so consider sun protection like hats or sunscreen. We’ll also have parasols for some shade. Everything will be happening at the venue so no need to move between locations. We’re going for a hearty, farm-style buffet with something for everyone! Think homemade breads, fresh seasonal salads, flavorful sides, and proper Karoo lamb on the spit. There’ll be a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes too. The dress code is semi-formal with a relaxed, earthy feel. We recommend avoiding stilettos and anything too formal, but a little thoughtful effort would be lovely.

Sunday Seafood Buffet

We would love to spend some extra time with guests who have travelled up for this occasion. On Sunday, we’re planning a group lunch at an open-air seafood buffet nearby. We need to make a group booking so please RSVP if you will be joining us.
