Naples-Capodichino International Airport (NAP)

The closest airport to fly into to get to Ravello is the Naples-Capodichino International Airport. The fastest way to travel from Naples to Ravello is by car, which would take about an hour. There isn’t a direct route from Naples to Ravello by bus or train, however, there are some ferry/train options that can get you close to Ravello. Naples to Ravello by Train: To travel from Naples to Ravello by train, the first thing you need to do is get to Sorrento. From the Napoli Centrale train station in Naples, you can take the Circumvesuviana train that heads to Sorrento every half hour (from 6 AM to 11 PM). A one-way trip takes an hour and ten minutes. Note that these train tickets can only be purchased at the station (for 3 EUR) and cannot be purchased in advance. The more recommended train option is the Campania Express (for 15 EUR) that is slightly shorter in duration and allows for advance purchase of tickets where you will guarantee your seats and have air conditioning and luggage storage. You can buy these tickets online at the EAV Campania website. These trains run less frequently than the Circumvesuviana so make sure to check the schedules in advance. Once in Sorrento, you need to get to Amalfi before you can finally reach Ravello. The Sita bus company runs from Sorrento Railway Station along the coast, all the way to Amalfi with stops in Positano and Praiano. To reach Ravello you’ll need to take a Sita bus from Amalfi to Ravello or can call a rideshare (Uber/Bolt). Naples to Ravello by Ferry: Another option is taking a ferry from Naples to Amalfi. There are a few ferry options from Naples to Almafi but the quickest is the Navigazione Libera del Golf (NLG) which will take about 1 hour and 45 minutes. The ferry costs about 32 EUR each way. Once you reach Amalfi, you’ll need to go from the ferry dock to the bus station and buy tickets for the bus from Amalfi to Ravello or from here you can take an rideshare (Uber/Bolt).
