We’re getting married!!

How do 2 twenty somethings meet in the 21st century? Online of course. We sure weren't going to bars and clubs, at all, let alone expecting to meet our forever someone there. So we signed up for Match.com at different times and thank goodness our virtual paths crossed and it all worked out from there. Our first date was April 2nd 2018. Josh asked me to be his girlfriend on May 28 2018. The rest has been a blast and such an adventure.

I should have known something was up when Josh insisted on a hike at a certain place because usually he is so easy going and doesn't care too much about what we do or where we go. We went hiking at one of our favorite spots and had our little fur baby, Martini with us. Once we got to the top of the hill and were looking at the beautiful view, a random girl came and stood right next to us and ruined Josh's moment. She literally stood RIGHT next to us, haha. She finally left and I guess the moment was ruined for Josh so we started to walk down the hill. As we were about to descend Josh grabbed my hand and turned me around and I saw him on one knee and asked the million dollar question. Of course I said YES. Best day ever!

Getting engaged right before a pandemic is no joke, we went from bliss and joy to panic and stress. We had to cancel our trip to South Africa, our move to Texas and have now decided to cancel our big wedding. It is 2020 after all and with everything going on we needed something positive to focus on. We had about 4 different ideas for our wedding and have now settled on a micro wedding with 13 close family and friends.This is the path 2020 took us and honestly we couldn’t be happier to start our next chapter.
