It's true...on January 1, 2019, Reggie slid into Robyn's DM on Instagram with just a few simple words - "something about your vibe got my attention." And from there, the rest is history. Seems relatively straightforward, right? Well, how they started following each other on social media is an important detail. Somewhere around 2013, Reggie's cousin and Robyn's sorority sister, Patricia, decided that the two should meet. At the time, Reggie lived in Tampa and Robyn lived in Ft. Lauderdale. Patricia made the connection and the two started following each other both on Facebook and Instagram. While there was no instant connection in 2013, things took a change when that DM slide occurred 6 years later in 2019. From the moment they spoke on January 1, they didn't miss a day speaking to each other. They finally met for the first time in person on January 19, 2019. They both made arrangements to travel to Tampa to meet (Reggie was no longer living in Tampa; he had moved to Atlanta). Reggie was a true gentleman - he planned every detail for the weekend, including finding a vegan restaurant for their first dinner date! The weekend was fun and easy, and they decided they should continue seeing each other. For the next year, they had several trips to Atlanta and Ft. Lauderdale to spend time together before Reggie made the move back home to South Florida at the end of 2019. On January 2, 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, Reggie convinced Robyn to go to brunch at Wild Thyme at The Atlantic on Ft. Lauderdale Beach. To her surprise, that's when he popped the question!
