Robert and Natalie first met in the Spring of 2015, when they shared a creative writing class at Humboldt State University(Rob had noticed Natalie at a house party the Winter previous, but she was unaware!). Throughout the following months, Robert and Natalie got to know each other through the stories they'd write about their lives. Though they both sensed a warmth and closeness emerging between each other, this feeling went unacknowledged until the end of the semester. One Summer evening, Natalie invited Robert to Richard's Goat, the local pub, "For a drink and an explanation." Three years later, Robert and Natalie found themselves separated by a distance of nearly 8,000 miles. Rob had spent the last 6 months teaching English in Thailand while Natalie stayed behind in the US. Though they missed each other terribly, the time apart had given Robert the certainty that Natalie was the woman he wanted to share his life with. Rob told Natalie he was teaching in Thailand for another year and they should meet each other in Bali before school began. It was there, on a warm, rainy day in Seminyak, Bali, that Robert asked Natalie to be his wife. We are excited to celebrate the beginning of our adventure together with you. We can't wait to sing, dance, eat and drink with you this Labor Day weekend, September 1st, in the wilderness of Northern Tahoe.
