Zach and Katie met in January 2022. Katie was living downtown with her friends, while Zach had just moved back to KC after finishing school. What started as a typical Saturday night turned into something much more. Katie and her roommates were hosting a pregame, and little did she know that when she answered the door, Zach (and his friends) would be standing there. The night continued out at the infamous Levee bar, where Katie quickly noticed Zach’s amazing dance moves and goofy personality—she couldn’t stop smiling. Like any modern-day romance, Katie followed Zach on Instagram the next day, and Zach didn’t waste any time sliding into her DMs shortly after. From there, it was an instant connection. What started as a chance meeting turned into something pretty special! They spent as much time as they could getting to know each other, and before long, Zach asked Katie to be his girlfriend. A year later they moved into an apartment together. Since then, they’ve bought a home together, Zach pulled off the most amazing proposal and they added the cutest puppy in the world, Murphy, to their family. They feel so lucky for everything they’ve built together so far—and can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
