We're Getting Married

Our story started long before us. Our families have been friends for years, however, we didn’t start dating until years later, after knowing each other our whole lives. Our story began in Florida on a Ward family vacation. Katie was invited by Josh's younger sister Brittany, who is one of her best friends. Josh just so happened to be the only sibling who didn’t bring a friend on this trip. As the vacation went on, Josh began to hang out with Katie,Brittany and Rachel. A couple of days into the trip, Josh and Katie were at Disney riding rides together and laughing their way through the vacation. Soon after, he got Katie’s number off his moms phone. Once the trip ended Josh continued to text Katie and eventually asked her on a date. In April of 2019, they began dating. After three years together, Josh proposed on their annual Christmas date downtown Detroit. Wouldn’t you know it was the coldest day of the year with record low temperatures! They closed the ice rink and stores down due to it being so cold, so no one was there. As we walked up to the Christmas tree, our families and friends came out from hiding and Josh proposed. Of course, Katie said YES! It was the best day celebrating with our friends and family. We are so excited to start this new journey called marriage. We hope to see you all at the wedding!
