Our Story

Jordan and Meagan have a wonderful love story that originates in a small hometown, is over 25 years in the making, and spans over 4,056 miles.

Jordan and Meagan grew up only 8 miles from one another in Raymond, Mississippi. They both attended First Baptist Church of Raymond from a young age. Meagan and Dallas (Jordan's brother) were in the same class and were close friends from K-3 to 5th grade before Meagan moved schools. Throughout their formative years, Jordan’s parents and Meagan’s parents, taught the couple Sunday school. Jordan and Meagan did not reconnect until 2017 when Meagan was finishing up her undergraduate degree at Ole Miss and Jordan had moved back to Jackson after finishing his undergraduate degree at Mississippi State. Meagan and Jordan connected on a dating app and went on a few dates. One thing Meagan remembers about these early dates was Jordans different colored lights throughout his house, his gluten free pizza he cooked her, and watching planet earth together. The most important thing is how the couple could talk for hours about life, philosophy, religion, and basically anything with such ease. The couple drifted apart when Meagan returned to Ole Miss to finish her studies then moved to Chicago to pursue her law degree. Jordan would continue as a practitioner at Naturally You. The couple would reconnect in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 outbreak. Meagan finished her law studies, had completed her 1st bar exam, and was working when she received the devastating news that her beloved grandfather had passed away from dementia. She was able to fly to Jackson to be with her family. During this time, Jordan was working at Naturally You, and he also received the upsetting news of losing his grandmother to Alzheimer’s. Since the couple were in the the same city, they matched once again on a different dating app and met for dinner. This time, the couple found comfort with one another at the loss of their grandparents. While many things had changed, the one thing did not change for the couple was the comfort they felt with one another. Shortly after a couple of dates, Meagan came down with Covid and then Jordan did as well. This halted their dates and then Meagan had to return to Chicago to continue her law practice. The couple then drifted apart as the distance grew. The couple reconnected for the final time in 2023. Meagan had moved to Florida and lived with her sister the past few years. She began to miss the comforts of home after being away for almost 10 years. Meagan made the decision in late 2023 to buy her first home in Mississippi. Jordan also had many changes in his life during this 3 year span. He was able to live outside of Mississippi and reside in Texas, Oregon, and Virginia. He was able to continue to practice at Naturally You virtually. While he was being able to experience living in other areas of the country, Jordan devastatingly lost his beloved mother, Kim, to cancer in the spring of 2023. Jordan moved back to Mississippi a few months later and he wanted to continue traveling across the country. While Jordan was back in Mississippi & while Meagan was finalizing her new house plans, the couple matched once again on a dating app. That next date changed the course of their lives forever. Life had changed both of them and they knew what they wanted in their lives. Meagan went back to Florida to pack her things and Jordan went to Oregon to ski. This time, the distance brought them closer to one another. They met back up in May when Jordan moved in with Meagan. In June, the couple found out they were expecting their first child. In December, Jordan asked Meagan to be his wife during a family trip in New Orleans, and she happily agreed. The couple then welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Reece David, on February 8th, 2025. The couple grew closer during this time and love each other beyond words. The Lord brought these families together when the couple were young, the Lord brought the couple together throughout the years, and it was the Lord who brought the beautiful and precious Reece into their lives. (Jeremiah 29:11)
