We're so excited to celebrate with you!

We met how all of the kids meet these days during a global pandemic...online. Matt had just moved to Atlanta in mid-May from Minneapolis for a new job and Erica was on month two of her pandemic routine of long runs and quesadillas. We both had decided to give online dating a shot and matched with each other towards the end of June. Our first date was June 27th at Piedmont Park, just down the street from Matt's apartment. In typical Erica fashion, she read the directions wrong for where they were meeting in the park and when Matt called her to see where she was, he offered for her to stay put while he came to her. The bench where she sat and waited for him will now always hold a special place in our hearts for multiple reasons (see the Proposal page for more :) ). We felt at-home with each other almost instantly, talking about Jesus, family, work, our college days and Silver Dollar City for hours. We saw each other two more times that week before Matt left for Wisconsin to be with his family for a few weeks at the lake. Even in those early days of knowing each other, our fondness for one another grew rapidly and we knew that God was up to something really special. We are each other's biggest blessing and are overwhelming grateful that a walk through the park led to us walking through life together forever.
