How we met

We are a pandemic love story! We went on our first date on November 14, 2020 during that brief window when restaurant patios reopened thinking that the end of the pandemic was quickly approaching. We had the chance to go out a couple of times before the surge and lockdown forced us indoors for the next few months. We got to know each other over pizza, long walks, and lots of B movies. In the midst of a crazy, sad, and uncertain time we fell in love and chose to join our lives. We are grateful for the chance to explore this world together for the rest of our lives.

The proposal

November 14, 2021

We wanted to go out to celebrate the one year anniversary of our first date. We chose the Sardinian restaurant that we had visited on our first night out in Culver City after moving. During dinner we were sharing stories of our memories from our first date and everything that we had come to love and cherish about each other in the intervening year. I found out that Frank really hated my first date order of pulled pork nachos lol. With the ring burning a hole in his pocket, Frank then said that "he had a gift". He got on one knee and asked me to marry him in the middle of Carasau's patio. I was completely taken by surprise and didn't hesitate before saying yes. The couple being shown to their table next to us were the first to congratulate us. Sardinia now holds a special place in our hearts and we will be travelling there for our honeymoon.

The ceremony & reception

USC and Exposition Park are important places in the Robinson family and our wedding will just add another event in the list of special memories spent there. We wanted our wedding and reception to feel like "us" which is why we chose to focus our events in downtown Los Angeles. We both love exploring bars, restaurants, and shops wherever we find ourselves. We didn't want to do a formal, sit-down dinner because we wanted to maximize the time to socialize and celebrate with all of you. We hope that it will be a fun event where everyone can mix, mingle, and have a fun afternoon/evening together.
