David and I met through a mutual friend. We spent a couple weeks texting each other before finally meeting in person. Our first date was at Panera in Bel Air, on Christmas Eve in 2018.

For my birthday, in 2023, David took me on a weekend trip with visits to all of my favorite places in Rehoboth. The theme for that birthday we “All of My Favorite Things.” So, this year, for my birthday, we went on another weekend excursion, with the theme of “Things You’ve Always Wanted to Do. but Haven’t Done Yet.” Our first stop was the Harbeson location of Dewey Beer, which we had discussed visiting many times, but never managed to get there….until now. Our second stop was Cape Henlopen State Park. Which, again, we had always talked about doing, but hadn’t made it there until this trip. For dinner, we did go to one of our favorite restaurants, La Fable. We have gone there for special occasions in the past, so I didn’t think much about it, as it was the day before my birthday. It was there that my love proposed. He got down on one knee, and asked me to be his wife. Another thing I’ve never done before. The following day, we spent the day at the beach in Lewes….another thing I’ve never done before.
