Question

Is the wedding indoor or outdoors?

Answer

Outdoors & in the grass. Please take care to wear shoes that will allow you to walk up and down a gentle hill, and bring a sweater for the evening - it gets chilly next to the water!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail / formal. Wear whatever you feel best in! And don't forget a swim suit for events before and after! Plan for it to be warm during the day, likely low to mid 80s, and bring something to throw over your shoulders because it'll cool down in the evening with some wind.

Question

Getting to Sandy Point on Whidbey Island

Answer

From Seattle, you'll drive anywhere from ONE to TWO hours to Mukilteo where you'll catch a ferry to Clinton (See 'Planning around Ferries' below). From Clinton, Sandy Point is a short 10 minute drive. Both I-5 and I-405 can slow you down between 1:30 and 5 on Friday and Saturday, so plan accordingly!! WE RECOMMEND DRIVING AND CARPOOLING! Relying on taxis or driving services on the island is not recommended because it will be unreliable on the island and likely won't save you money in the long run factoring in the long rides you'll have to take to and from the ferry terminal in Mukilteo. We have lots of drivers! So if there's any concern, reach out and we can help facilitate.

Question

Planning around ferries

Answer

From Seattle, you'll take the ferry out of Mukilteo (https://maps.app.goo.gl/vRvJTtDwHJhkcNkp6). Ferries run every 30 minutes but can be backed up, especially on summer weekends. Waits up to three boats aren't uncommon between 2PM and 6PM on Fridays and Saturdays, so plan accordingly! For those that plan on taking the ferry after the ceremony, they run until 1AM. WSDOT provides you with information about best times to sail and any updates relating to ferry schedules: https://wsdot.com/ferries/schedule/scheduledetailbyroute.aspx?route=muk-cl

Question

Parking around Sandy Point

Answer

There is no designated parking but there is plenty of street parking on the road above and below the home. (4323 E Clyde Rd, Langley, WA 98260) Any Sandy Point labeled parking lots are NOT designated for the wedding and reserved for the home owners of the beach community. We will have parking signs to indicate that you're in the right place! We are not offering a shuttle because lodging is so spread out.

Question

Question

Can I bring my kids with me?

Answer
