We met on our very first day of college at the University of Illinois, right outside Hopkins Hall, the dorm we both called home. We quickly became good friends, shared a few classes (and many nights at KAM’s), and spent three years firmly in the friend zone. Then, during senior year, Nick gained the courage to ask Robin to a date event, and things changed pretty quickly after that. After graduation, we each moved to Chicago, then cross-country to San Francisco, where we’ve spent the last 3 years building our life together. In May 2025, while camping at Steep Ravine along the Pacific Coast, Nick proposed. It was windy, quiet, and perfect - a weekend we’ll never forget. Wisconsin has always held a special place in our hearts. We both grew up spending summers and long weekends “Up North” - Nick at the Jordan family lake house in Sugar Camp, and Robin at the Sackett cabin in Wild Rose. Once we started dating, those places became even more special as we got to share them, and our families, with each other. From days on the lake to winter ski trips, Wisconsin has been the backdrop for some of our favorite memories. That’s why we couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. The Sackett family grew up skiing at Nordic Mountain, and it’s been a cornerstone of childhood adventures - and now, one of ours too. We can’t wait to say “I do” on top of the hill and celebrate with all of our favorite people. Summers “Up North” are unmatched, and we’re so excited to share a piece of that magic with you.
