Travel Note
For flights from France to the US, we recommend flying into Paris. From there, you can connect to Nice, Marseille, or Toulon-Hyeres which will be the closest airport. There is also the option of train travel from most major cities to the Toulon TGV station. We recommend purchasing any tickets (with travel insurance) well in advance. We plan to arrange shuttle pick up the day before the wedding- more to come!
Train
TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse) is a high-speed train line throughout France. There are several classes of tickets and baggage allowances for quick, easy, and comfortable travel throughout France with a station in the neighboring town of Toulon.
Rental Car
France has a robust public transport system but if you would prefer to rent a car the Discover Cars website can help you compare options. Please note the minimum age for driving is 18 although rental car companies typically apply a daily "young driver" fee for those less than 25. You will be required to provide your license to rent the car and may need a translated, notarized copy. You can drive on an American license for up to 90 days. Be advised manual (stick shift) vehicles are common. Automatic may be available for a higher price. Please be aware of the differing rules of the road.
House Or Rental
For those not staying on site there are several lovely airbnbs in the area.
