We met in a very new age way - Bumble. Despite having mutual friends in different groups, we never met due to having different schedules. Our first date was meeting at Alibi in downtown Truckee and then riding down to the Reno Rib Cook Off in Rob’s old VW. He forgot his wallet, she paid, they made their way over to a nice bar downtown. It was a great first date and have been together ever since.

Rob planned a ski trip to Mammoth Mountain with his best friends and their significant others. He wanted to stop at a scenic spot off the highway, but it was too dark to make an impromptu proposal. They arrived in Mammoth and had a good night reconnecting with old friends. The next day while Rob was snowboarding, Felicia went to explore the area. Unbeknownst to her, Rob was planning a proposal at June Lake. Felicia inadvertently foiled that plan as well. Rob then tried to separate from the group, but Felicia thought it was weird.. and that he was acting strange. With the ring burning a hole in Rob’s pocket, he had no choice, but to propose in the room of their condo that they were staying. Felicia immediately started crying, interrupting and saying “YES”. She was so happy that she forgot what he was saying during the proposal and he had to start over. After an enthusiastic and definitive yes, everyone shared their joy in their engagement.
