Better Together!

I had just started at a marketing company in Atlanta, Georgia. Rob would speak up a lot in the morning meetings. After a few day, I approached him to set up a business meeting, he laughed in my face and said he was leaving the next day. I didn’t know that he was a big shot, corporate trainer. In the mean time, I worked hard and made my way up the ladder. He flew in a couple months later to train me. We hit it off and he became my number one business mentor. I kept calling for business advice, and just never stopped calling...

We had a beautiful morning listening to music and dancing around the house. You could feel the love and joy in our home. I went to meditate in the closet (so I didn’t have to turn the music down, duh). I hear Rob say that he has a question, as he walks into the bedroom. I look at him as he gets down on his knee... I’m still clueless, because I’m the weird one sitting in the closet meditating. He asks me to marry him, as he starts to cry. My brain is taking a 5 second delay. I shake a bit as everything is starting to make sense and look at the ring. And, I said YES! Bonus: In the midst of COVID, he had set up an engagement party with Dan, Mandy, Sean and Becca. We had a wonderful pool party and then they toasted us. It was such a beautiful day and into a wonderful evening!
