Things to Do in Annapolis, MD

The Wedding Website of Sarah Aiken and Robert Russel
There are so many awesome sites to see and fun activities to do in Maryland's capital! Here are some suggestions for you all to explore while in Annapolis this weekend (you know if you wanted to do something other than celebrate Robert and I all weekend long ;)
Naval Academy

Naval Academy

121 Blake Rd., Annapolis, MD 21402

A definite must do for any visit to Annapolis, MD. This is one squared away place. Every step of the way, you get the feeling that really great things happen here as a routine measure.

Maryland State House

Maryland State House

100 State Circle, Annapolis, MD 21401
, (410) 946-5400

One of the first Capitols of the USA! General George Washington resigned his commission here after defeating the English.

Quiet Waters Park

Quiet Waters Park

600 Quiet Waters Park Road, Annapolis, MD 21403
, (410) 222-1777

The park has lots of nice fountains, small pools (not for swimming), gazebos, walking bridges, and trails. I particularly enjoyed the butterfly garden with a cute little birdhouse library. If you go further back, you'll reach the South River and will see lots of people on boats.

Ego Alley

Ego Alley

1 Dock Street, Annapolis, MD 21401

After, sit by the water at sunset, watch the boats come in and out and really appreciate the nautical lifestyle.

Discover Annapolis Tours

Great Frogs Winery

Great Frogs Winery

3218 Harness Creek Road, Annapolis, MD 21403
, (410) 626-6193

FYI Tastings are by reservation only, but they welcome walk-ins to by a bottle and have a picnic!

Chick & Ruth's Delly

Chick & Ruth's Delly

165 Main Street, Annapolis, MD 21401
, (410) 269-6737

There is more than one reason why Chick and Ruth’s Delly is the place to be for breakfast in Annapolis. First, of course, is the amazing food, including our favorite “world famous” seasoned crab and cheese omelet. Second is the morning ritual. Every weekday at 8:30am and weekend at 9:30am, the staff of Chick and Ruth’s assembles for the daily Pledge of Allegiance. Everything and everyone stops for a few brief seconds to salute the flag. It’s so unusual, you almost have to see it to believe it. And, depending on the time of year, you may just find yourself standing next to a state legislator or the governor himself. He has his own booth, after all.

Iron Rooster - Annapolis

Iron Rooster - Annapolis

12 Market Space, Annapolis, MD 21401
, (410) 990-1600

With views of Ego Alley, Iron Rooster is the spot for breakfast or brunch. Their homemade pop tarts and eggs benedict are outstanding.
