Robert and Samantha met at Texas A&M while serving on the Leadership Committee of an organization called SLIDE (Sophomore Leaders Impacting, Developing, and Educating). After a weekend trip with the organization, Robert asked Samantha on their first date which took place at Torchy’s Tacos in January of 2020. Shortly after they began dating, COVID led them to leave College Station and unexpectedly turned their relationship into long distance. Weekend visits with each other’s families became the foundation of their early relationship, including Robert attending the “family prom” Samantha’s family hosted for her sister Emily when her senior prom was canceled in 2020. In their 6 years together, they've graduated from college, travelled to 3 countries, and ran a marathon (in Athens, Greece!). In the fall of 2023, Robert moved to DFW and the two began living together in Lewisville, Texas. Fast forward to November of 2025, Robert got down on one knee to pop the question to Samantha during a trip to Greece! They will be getting married on September 25, 2026.
