It all started with a declaration of the desire to marry a Bob jokingly to Ruth’s aunt after watching Top Gun: Maverick. Ruth was soon surprised when a Bob unexpectedly entered her life after a brief and rather spontaneous jaunt on a dating app. Bobby as he would later be known was also rather surprised when this young lady accepted his proposal of going out on a date. He was even more surprised when on April 23rd of 2024 she agreed to date him only three months before whisking off to Japan. It was to many’s surprise that the young lady who had always had a weird thing for the name Bob, would end up dating and now marrying a Bob. Despite being separated in three different countries and by thousands of miles, this unexpected match would outlast the expectations of the skeptical bystanders and begin their chapter of engagement on March 13th, 2026. Bobby and Ruth are very excited to be finally closing those thousands of miles of separation this August 15th.
