We met in the cafeteria of EBHS in 2001 when Megh was a senior and Bob was a Junior. From there we quickly started dating and fell head over heels for one another. The year went by too quickly and soon it was time for Megh to go to college. We stayed together while Bob finished high school and started college. Shortly thereafter, Megh wound up facing a difficult choice as her father was moving to Texas and she needed to choose whether to stay in NJ or move across the country. She ended up moving and we soon lost touch for the most part. We stayed connected on social media and caught up intermittently over the years until one day in late 2023 Megh posted on Facebook about her life's current events and Bob decided to reach out and check on her. From there, we started talking almost every day and within weeks, there was a plan for Megh to come back to NJ to visit. Before Megh even made it back to NJ, we were dating again at a distance and she finally made the trip just after Christmas. That visit quickly turned into a trial run of living together but Megh had to go back to Colorado to get back to her responsibilities, which lasted about 2 weeks until it was decided that she would be moving back to Jersey. In March of 2024, Bob flew out to Colorado, rented a minivan, and hauled Megh and all her stuff back home. 7 months later at the all too aptly named "When We Were Young" festival in Las Vegas, Bob got down on one knee and asked Megh to marry him. Now the planning is done and the wheels are in motion and it is almost time to tie the knot.
