FAQs

Question

That's a Thursday, is that right?

Answer

Yes! Most of our friends are either service industry or musicians. This is a much easier night for us to be off work. We also aimed for the likely spring break for families with kids and all of our teacher friends.

Question

What are we eating?

Answer

Appetizers: charcuterie, hummus, fresh veggies Dinner: salad, mac n cheese, red beans & rice, chicken tenders, jambalaya Dessert: cookies, fruit, chocolate Please let us know if you have an dietary restrictions that you are concerned about.

Question

I need an accommodation. What do I do?

Answer

Let us know! The ceremony, dinner, and reception are all at the same outdoor location. If bad weather is anticipated, we will get tents. There are not any stairs to navigate in the outdoor space. If you want to request any personal accommodations or support needs, please do. We will do everything in our power to make it happen.

Question

What if I'm sober?

Answer

Hell yeah, friend. You'll be in good company at this celebration. Lots of sober guests or folks in recovery are invited, and each of these venues offers sodas or lemonades and some even have NA beer options or mocktails! (Harm reduction supplies will be on hand for those on a different journey. Please be safe!)

Question

Is it safe in New Orleans?

Answer

This is a question we often get from people who haven't spent time here. The city may have a reputation for being dangerous, but it is absolutely safe for visitors as long as you are smart and respectful. That means stay aware of your surroundings, don't leave valuables in your car, don't wander off in unfamiliar neighborhoods alone at night, don't pick fights, etc. We expect all visitors to the city to be courteous to the people who live here.
