FAQs

"ON A NEED TO KNOW BASIS"
Question

What’s the closest airport?

Answer

The closest major airport is Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José, about 1.5 hours from the venue. We recommend flying in here and either renting a car or booking a shuttle to the coast.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes! All guests traveling from outside Costa Rica will need a valid passport. Be sure it’s not expiring within 6 months of your travel date.

Question

When should I arrive and leave Costa Rica?

Answer

The wedding is on Friday, March 20th (yes, a Friday… we know, but trust us—there’s a plan). We recommend flying in on Wednesday, March 18th so you can settle in, soak up some sun, and join us for the welcome party Thursday evening! Most guests will head out Sunday, March 22nd, but feel free to make a longer trip out of it if you’re craving more pura vida. That said, we totally understand if work or life means you need to fly in on Thursday instead—you won’t miss the main event (and we’ll save you a drink at the party).

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’ve listed several nearby hotel and villa options under the "Travel" page! You can choose to stay right on the same private ranch as the wedding villa, or explore other beautiful spots just a short drive away.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Tropical Formal — think color, flow, and a little flair. We’re talking vibrant dresses, breezy suits, and outfits that can handle a little sweat. The ceremony is on grass and sand, so maybe skip the stilettos (your ankles will thank you). Dress like you’re on vacation… but make it fashion. Question

Can I bring my kids to the wedding?

Answer

At this time, the wedding is 21+ due to the intimate size of the venue. We love your littles, but we’re keeping it adults-only for now—thank you for understanding! Children are, however, more than welcome to join us for all other wedding weekend festivities.

Question

Will the wedding be outdoors?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be outside so please plan accordingly!

Question

What's the weather going to be like?

Answer

March is one of the best times to visit Costa Rica—expect sunny skies and temps in the 80s! But hey, it's the tropics, so a light rain shower is always a possibility. We are close to the equator so DON'T FORGET SUNSCREEN! (I'm looking at you, Derrick)

Question

What time is the wedding?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM, with cocktail hour and the reception to follow. We suggest arriving a bit early to grab a good seat.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with our favorite people! Due to space limitations, we’re only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!
