I was getting a divorce and needed a full time job to support myself and my daughter. I started training for the job I got and Robert was my trainer. Our first interaction was when he was telling the class that he is an LA Rams fan and I raised my hand and said I am too. He ran down the aisle and we high fived! A week and a half later the flirting started but it was silly elementary school type flirting. I was excited to be single and was happy to flirt with anyone really. Not long after the flirting started, Robert asked me if I'd go out with him. I wasn't looking to date anyone so I told him exactly that and asked if we could just be friends. He said he would be more than happy with that and that he feels that everyone enters our lives for a reason. Two days later he told me he was nervous going to work because he felt he made a fool of himself, which was absolutely not true. It was cute! When I walked into work, Roberts face turned red and he had the cutest, sweetest smile. That was when I knew I was in trouble. I talked him into giving his number to a group of friends we were creating and we texted all weekend. On Monday back at work, I felt like I couldn't breathe when I was around him. The butterflies were the most intense I had ever felt when being around a man before. I decided to invite him to the free yoga class at an LGBTQ friendly bar called The Balcony that I was going to. He graciously agreed. Little did we know, he would kiss me that night and 4 1/2 years later, here we are. Engaged to be married, our kids live with us in a beautiful home and could not be happier! <3
