Petoskey Downtown Historic District
Downtown Petoskey offers many boutique stores ranging from pottery to home goods, unique Petoskey stone jewelry, clothing and more. There are also restaurants sprinkled throughout and of course local staples such as Roast and Toast for all of your coffee needs, and Mclean and Eakin the local bookstore where the bride and groom have enjoyed quiet afternoons skimming through pages. There is truly something for everyone in this town.
Petoskey Bayfront Breakwater
The Breakwall is a must while in Petoskey! Take a stroll down to the lighthouse and jump into the water if you are feeling adventurous. You can also skim the beach to find the prized Petoskey stones. The bride and groom will begin their wedding morning together taking a plunge off this local treasure. Adjacent is the waterfront park with rolling fields, a river and a waterfall towards the other end. You will also find the docks and the field where the bride played softball growing up. Take your time enjoying the view of the bay and the charm Petoskey has to offer.
Chandler's
A local Petoskey gem, Chandler's provides guests an exceptional dining experience with an extensive wine & cocktail menu. This destination is close to the couple's hearts as the bride's friends own and operate the distillery. Fun for the family, you can find specialty cocktails, great food, and fun activities throughout the year. The bride loves the Petoskey Stone Gin while the groom opts for the more tropical rum based drinks. You can't go wrong with any of their offerings!
Petoskey State Park
A great escape from the town if you're looking for outdoor activities! With a sandy beach, it's a fantastic place to spend the day. Grab a few sandwiches and all the accoutrements from Symon's downtown and have a picnic on the beach, whilst enjoying the fresh water and air of Northern Michigan.
SkyBridge Michigan
Off the beaten path, the SkyBridge is worth the trip if you're not afraid of heights. Fun fact: the SkyBridge is the longest timber-towered suspension bridge in the world! With the leaves changing, you can't miss the views!
