FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kate Marshall and Robert Gray
Take a look below to find answers to common questions- don't hesitate to reach out if we missed anything!
Question

Which airport should I fly in to?

Answer

Luis Munoz Marin International Airport (SJU) in San Juan. It's approximately 30 minutes by car from SJU to our venue/resort, Palm Villa

Question

Do I need a Passport?

Answer

You do NOT need a passport or any special documents to fly to Puerto Rico. Because PR is a United States territory, flights from the mainland are domestic!

Question

Do I need a car? Where should I rent one?

Answer

You don't need a car- taxis and Uber are available and reliable. We will also have limited seats available in wedding party vehicles for various excursions, etc. That said, roads in Puerto Rico are easy to navigate and we recommend renting your own vehicle to make the most of your experience. NOTE: Rent only from nationally known rental agencies such as Alamo, Hertz or Enterprise at the airport. Other rental agencies found online offering lower rates will bait & switch at pickup, tacking on expensive additional fees and restrictions.

Question

Do I need to know Spanish?

Answer

No. The primary language of Puerto Rico is Spanish, and signs, menus, etc are usually written in Spanish, but locals typically understand English or are happy to find someone who can help.

Question

Do I need to exchange money? How do I pay at stores and restaurants?

Answer

Puerto Rico uses the US Dollar as currency. Credit cards and Apple Pay are accepted at most establishments.

Question

Do you recommend any hotels?

Answer

Yes! Please see the Travel section of this website for a list of hotels. We suggest staying in San Juan near the airport, which is a short drive to Palm Villa, our wedding location. Airbnb has many properties available in that area as well.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by Jan 1st, 2025.

Question

Is there transport to and from the ceremony?

Answer

Transportation to the ceremony will not be provided, but the venue is easy to reach by car and Uber is available and reliable.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is street parking and a small parking lot.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

30 mins prior to the ceremony.

Question

Is there a dress code for the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, tropical semi-formal. No shorts, please!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please let us know any food allergies.
